Supervisor
An applicant for the position of supervisor will have obtained an undergraduate degree in Accounting or a related field. If an undergraduate degree is still in progress, at least 10 years experience in the public accounting field is required.

- Demonstrates ability to adapt to the firm’s paperless engagement software

Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervisors are generally assigned to practice areas of tax, accounting support and/or assurance. Within a particular practice area, supervisors are expected to perform the following duties:
- Unaided preparation of complex tax returns - individual, business, fiduciary and others
- Research tax law and regulations effectively
- Resolve federal, state & local tax notices on behalf of clients
- Draft a complete tax memo to include appropriate citations and conclusions
- Assist in managing audit, review and compilation engagements including the necessary planning, fieldwork, write-up & preparation of financial statements and applicable disclosures
- Demonstrate thorough understanding of client’s industry & accounting system
- Manage schedule effectively to ensure timeliness of all of projects
- Prepare and lead in-house training sessions as requested
- Participate in learning opportunities within the office and outside of BSG
